Josh Andersen is a talented up-and-coming cinematographer with an instinctual eye for lighting and practiced composition. He is a positive, progressive thinker and always strives toward the benefit of the project. Josh is a child of low-budget filmmaking, and understands both the limitations of a budget and solves problems in a creative manner. His influences include Roger Deakins, Robert Elswit, and Matthew Libatique, as well as other creators, such as Donald Glover, Elon Musk, and the Coen Brothers. In his free time, Josh enjoys photography, painting, screenwriting, poetry, and playing guitar. He also designs stickers and T-shirts for his art page on Instagram.
His most recent projects include He Left Instructions, a short film that is currently making it rounds at festivals, including Atlanta and Sonoma international film festivals; and Banging Lanie, a feature film. In 2019 he worked with the advanced camera acting students at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts to create 54 scenes and short films over eight weeks.
